At the Faculty of Civil Engineering , the Institute of Construction Materials invites applications for the

Junior Professorship (W1) in Digital Fabrication Technologies in Concrete Construction

to be filled as of April 1, 2025 for an initial period of four years. After a positive interim evaluation, the employment relationship will be extended to a total of six years.

You (m/f/x) will represent the academic field of digital manufacturing technologies in concrete construction with dedication in both research and teaching. Your focus will be on researching digital technologies at the interface between building materials and machinery such as 3D printing with mineral materials, adaptive flow production, or automated concreting in complex formwork. Your teaching responsibilities will primarily cover the diploma study program in Civil Engineering and the English-taught Master’s program ACCESS.

We require a PhD in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Materials Science with a focus on digital manufacturing technologies and concrete construction, completed with outstanding success. We expect significant research experience in this field, evidenced by several publications in leading international peer-reviewed journals. In addition to solid theoretical knowledge, we also expect hands-on experience in digital manufacturing technologies such as additive manufacturing, robotics, and automation in concrete construction.
