Core Responsibilities:

• Support in ensuring the approval and monitoring processes for compliance with legal regulations as well as industry and customer requirements for ingredient suppliers, tollers (and affiliate imports) for the European market.
• Compliance, reporting and improvement of KPI’s in the area of toller/supplier approvals and performance (e.g. approval turn-around, toller FPC, BRD & complaints etc.), implementation of improvement projects.
• Planning and execution of quality assessments in the form of document reviews, factory audits, risk analyses and product analytics.
• Support the implementation of efficient supplier/toller documentation management.
• Carrying out specification evaluation for tollers & suppliers in cooperation with product development.
• Organization of raw material and end product control and release/blocking.
• Create QM related views for new products, suppliers and RM in SAP, IPA & Tracegains.
• Cooperation with international internal and external partners – especially with Product Development, Platform Leaders, Procurement, Regulatory, HH Laboratory and external laboratories.
• Support blocked stock management.
• Support of quality & cross-functional projects & continuous improvement projects (Tracegains, LIMS, Source Changes etc.).
• Investigate customer complaints and quality incidents, support root cause analysis and implement effective corrective actions.
• Additional support of quality assurance and EHS programs at the Hamburg site as required.
• Back up complaint investigation affiliates Complaints and Customer Request.
• Support regional quality culture initiatives and support Quality Month activities.
• Support EU additional QA requirements where needed.
• EHS: Support delivery of EHS goals and improvement plans, support site EHS awareness initiatives and training programs to contribute to business EHS goals.

Qualified candidates will have / be:

Mandatory requirements:

• University degree (BSc level) in food science or a related field.
• Experience with internal audits (and ideally external audits).
• Minimum 2 years‘ experience in food manufacturing or food certification.
• Good knowledge of the food industry, food safety and risk management.
• International experience, working with different nationalities.
• English at a higher level, oral and written. German and or French is a plus.
