The role
Join our team as a Vocational Education Training Manager, where you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our RTO Vocational Trainer and Assessor teams and industry training programs. Key responsibilities include directing and supporting staff to maximize performance and financial profitability of training programs, while ensuring compliance with funded authorities, RTO standards, and organisational policies. You will also play a crucial role in developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with employers, industry stakeholders, employment services providers, community, and commercial stakeholders.
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate:
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively direct and support vocational trainer and assessor teams.
- Proven experience in managing and optimizing the financial performance of training programs, ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints and financial targets.
- Exceptional knowledge of RTO standards, funded authorities\‘ requirements, and organisational policies to maintain compliance and operational integrity.
- Demonstrated capability in building and nurturing productive relationships with diverse stakeholders including employers, industry bodies, and community organisations.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate complex concepts and requirements to various audiences.
- Proactive problem-solving ability, coupled with a strategic mindset to identify opportunities for program improvement and operational efficiency.
What you will bring:
- Experience in Training Services, particularly in managing vocational training programs and teams, ensuring high standards of service delivery.
- Experience with blended learning, including face-to-face and online learning through a learner management system.
- Strong business acumen with a track record of achieving and exceeding KPIs and financial targets in a similar managerial role.
- Ability to interpret and manage relevant government contracts, ensuring compliance and successful program outcomes while adapting training delivery to meet service needs effectively.
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent) or a higher qualification in adult education highly desirable.
