Our State Government client is seeking a Senior Management Accountant (AO6) to join the team on a temporary basis. Based in Brisbane Southside, the role will be commencing early January and for a duration of 9 months with the possibility of extension. Working 38 hours per week, the role will be paying a casual hourly rate of $76.50 to $81.69, depending on experience.
About the Role:
In the role, you will provide high-level financial support and expert advice to the Manager, Finance and Asset Management. You will be involved in managing revenue and expenditure, supporting business strategies, and ensuring compliance with financial governance. Your expertise will be essential in budget preparation, forecasting, scenario planning, and providing financial analysis to support decision-making processes within the organisation.
Essential Skills and Experience:
To be successful in the position, you will be able to demonstrate the following:
- Solid experience working in a government financial management context;
- Proficiency in SAP, Excel, and Word;
- Strong financial analysis, forecasting, and scenario planning skills;
- Ability to manage complex budgets and provide expert advice on financial matters;
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills to work effectively with a range of stakeholders;
- Power BI experience would be advantageous.
