Intern (m/f/d) Analysis & Calculation of Fibre Composite Structures
We – MT Aerospace – are part of the OHB Space and Technology Group. As a leading international aerospace company, we develop, manufacture, and test essential components for launcher programs such as Ariane, the U.S. Space Launch System (SLS), as well as commercial launcher systems, the Airbus fleet, spacecraft, satellites, and defense applications. Thanks to globally unique manufacturing technologies, we create high-performance products made of metal and fiber composites, such as large load-bearing structures and cryotanks, lightweight structures, and fuel as well as pressure tanks that combine maximum performance with minimum weight. We currently employ around 600 people at our headquarters in Augsburg and at the launch site in Kourou (French Guiana).

Your Tasks
- You will support our fibre composite analysis team in the development of a fibre composite upper stage.
- You will familiarize yourself with the ABAQUS analysis software.
- You will take care of the structure and meshing of FE models (finite elements).
- You will carry out non-linear FE analyses.
- You will evaluate and interpret FE results and document them.
Your Qualifications
- Ongoing studies in the field of engineering or a comparable field of study.
- Sound knowledge of fibre composites.
- Initial experience with the finite element method (e.g., ABAQUS).
- Initial programming experience with Python is desirable.
- Good written and spoken English skills.
