Australian retail, supply chain business with a strong focus on service delivery and innovation, requires an adaptable Safety Lead (Senior Advisor level) to join an established safety team. The company has a well-established and expansive network division across Australia and is growing significantly. This arm of the business is the Transportation / logistics & supply chain and moves products all over Australia and New Zealand.
Role
As a Safety Lead you will be responsible for developing and implementing the Safety Wellbeing and Environment system, associated programs, and initiatives. You will be required to build strong relationships with the operational team, continually drive change, deliver strategic objectives and influence stakeholders at all levels for positive safety outcomes. This is a large site, with many moving parts and requires this person to work collaboratively, be flexible in their approach and be happy to roll up their sleeves.
Requirements
- Minimum Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety.
- Previous experience in safety in a matrix style organisation.
- Operational Safety experience, this person will be on the ground.
- Strong ability to influence and drive positive change.
- Ability to prioritise and complete action plans with detailed reporting.
- Safety system knowledge.
