Nursing – Aged Care (Healthcare & Medical)
Superior Care Group is seeking an outstanding, experienced and motivated aged care executive for the position of Centre Manager at our respected 96 place aged care service, Merrimac Park Private Care, Merrimac. This service provides high and dementia care.
The key personal qualities of a successful Centre Manager include:
- Passionate about delivering quality aged care.
- Driven by empathy towards our residents, families and staff.
- A natural people-person comfortable in the spotlight, promoting resident activities, staff culture and social initiatives, filling the home with energy.
- A highly organised mind, able to manage competing priorities, manage time and resources, understand the evolving aged care regulatory framework.
- Comfortable with managing conflict resolution with staff, families, the regulator and other stakeholders (government agencies, contractors, suppliers).
- Passionate about workplace culture, creating a workplace which is filled with love, respect and fun.
- A professional demeanour, able to operate at a high-pressure executive level.
- Committed to the company values of Courtesy, Respect, Consideration, Co-operation and Initiative.
- Comfortable with the SCG Open Door Policy, welcoming direct contact for staff, residents and relatives at any time.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leadership of the Head of Care and Group Head of Hotel.
- Accountability for the site\’s Quality Agency accreditation, continuous improvement and compliance with all other legislative obligations.
- HR, staff management, rostering, training, and organisational culture.
- Oversight of financial performance and AN-ACC outcomes in liaison with the Head of Care and AN-ACC Liaison and Finance Team.
- Management of resident and family relations, including Quality Commission complaints and Adult Guardian.
- Oversight of the clinical governance program as implemented by the Head of Care.
- Oversight of the hotel services program as delivered by the Group Head of Hotel.
- Relations with all government agencies in liaison with the CEO.
- Accountability for all admissions and occupancy outcomes.
- Delivers a regular Directors written report.
