About The Role:
We are seeking a practical, results-oriented leader to take responsibility for a major technical uplift in enterprise security architecture. This role is crucial in planning, leading and delivering security architecture services from the ground up and across various teams. You will define and implement actionable security strategies that align with the business’s needs while managing cyber risks. Your leadership will guide the development of security frameworks that protect sensitive data, mitigate risks and support resilient business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Security Architecture Leadership : Lead the development and maturation of the security architecture practice. Define security requirements to ensure protection and resilience capabilities align with business objectives and cyber risk management.
2. End-to-End Ownership : Take full responsibility for designing and implementing security frameworks from the ground up. This involves identifying gaps, establishing clear priorities, and driving the necessary changes across teams to improve the overall security posture.
3. Technology and Solution Development : Lead the creation of security technology blueprints aligned with the enterprise strategy. You will ensure these blueprints are actionable, realistic, and provide clear guidance for teams in operationalising security services.
4. Collaboration and Influence : Build strong, effective relationships with stakeholders across the organisation, including IT Service Owners, Platform teams, and Information Security. As a practical leader, you will guide teams to ensure that solutions align with security strategy and meet business needs.
5. Pragmatic Governance : Drive the development of governance processes that ensure alignment with the security strategy and roadmap. Establish effective, practical security governance frameworks to keep projects on track and aligned with business objectives.
6. Continuous Improvement : Identify security process gaps and inefficiencies, leading efforts to address them. This role requires someone who can pinpoint issues, propose effective solutions, and ensure that improvements are implemented successfully.

Key Accountabilities:

1. Strategic Thinking with Practical Application : Use your expertise in security architecture to provide actionable plans for addressing cyber risks. Your ability to turn complex security strategies into practical, executable actions will be vital to the role’s success.
2. Effective Stakeholder Engagement : Engage with business and technology teams to drive security improvements. Your ability to communicate effectively and ensure alignment with key stakeholders will be crucial in delivering security outcomes across the organisation.
3. Solutions Planning and Architecture : Play an active role in developing both high-level and detailed security solutions. You will manage the entire process, from planning to execution, ensuring solutions are both effective and scalable.
4. Technology Selection and Implementation : Lead the evaluation and selection of security technologies, ensuring they align with the enterprise strategy and meet security requirements.
5. Security Awareness and Advocacy : Promote the enterprise security vision and empower teams to implement security measures within their own scope, contributing to an organisation-wide security culture.

Position Requirements:

1. Qualifications : Degree in a related field (Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or similar). Postgraduate certifications are desirable.
