We offer an annual gross salary of at least € 66,532.20 for a full-time position. An overpayment based on qualification and experience is possible.

Minimum Requirements
- Completed doctoral degree or PhD in biology
- Extensive knowledge in the molecular and genetic regulation of plant growth
- Practical experience with molecular biological methods (knowledge of genome editing techniques is desirable)
- Proficiency in spoken and written English; sufficient German skills to lead public events and conduct German-language teaching
- Ability to conduct independent research
- High potential for scientific excellence (demonstrated, for instance, by relevant publications in reputable journals appropriate to career stage)
- Didactic skills for independent teaching
- High level of teamwork ability
- Experience with live-cell microscopy and biochemistry methods (desirable)
- Leadership competencies or relevant training (desirable)
- Experience in leading or contributing to research and third-party funding projects (desirable)

Eligibility Criteria:
- Completing the development agreement with objectives in research, teaching and administration
- Research in the field of the biochemical and genetic foundations of plant growth, particularly mechanisms of plant development
- Participation in research projects in the area of plant sciences (plant physiology)
- Applying for third-party funding for independent research projects
- Teaching and supervision of academic work on topics such as plant developmental biology, molecular biology, and the fundamentals of scientific research
- Co-management of infrastructure for confocal microscopy
- Participation in organization and administrative tasks as well as in evaluation measures
