Our client is a future-focused company that invests in long-life, high-quality assets across South East Queensland. The Role:
Working closely with the Chief Financial Officer, this role will be responsible for a broad remit of finance functions from overseeing transactional accounting, Month-End Procedures, and end-to-end accounting for multiple entities. This role is ideal for an experienced Senior Financial Officer or an Assistant Accountant who wants to gain broad accounting experience within the property sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Corporate and transaction financial processing- including accounts payable and receivable.
- Reconciling bank accounts and cashflow management.
- Loan and intercompany reconciliations.
- Subcontractor management and payments.
- WIP claims, retentions, and month-end reconciliations.
- Balance sheet and profit and loss reporting.
- Monthly and quarterly BAS/GST/Tax and compliance reporting.
- Assist with business-related activity such as Insurance, QBCC reporting, and annual audit.
- Support the CFO with the running of the office.
About You:
You will be a highly motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, showcasing initiative and readiness to hit the ground running.
Ideally you will have:
- 3+ years professional work experience in a Finance Officer or Assistant Accountant role.
- Relevant qualifications such as a Bachelor of Accounting (or currently studying).
- Experience in the property/construction sector using Jobpac software is highly regarded.
- A positive attitude with a desire to work in a close team environment and take ownership of the accounting function.
- Excellent time management skills, adept at handling competing priorities.
- Intermediate Excel skills.
