Due to exciting European growth, we now have opportunities for Professional Services Procurement professionals to join our growing team. Part of the global leader Bain & Company, Proxima is a well-established and leading management consulting firm specialising in procurement currently with offices in London, Leeds, Cardiff, and Chicago; with new European offices opening shortly. Hybrid working is the norm with time spent at client site, home as well as your local office.

We are experiencing expansion across all categories but specifically within Professional Services Procurement we are seeing significant expansion across Europe. This would be an exciting time to join a team of exceptional people driven to influencing and shaping outcomes for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Utilise market insights and industry knowledge to drive informed decision making with clients, impacting commercial and operational performance of suppliers.
  2. Gain and manage stakeholder engagement at all appropriate levels and influence effectively.
  3. Provide input into client’s scope of requirements and specification design, proposing best practice approaches to the market.
  4. Develop robust strategies that challenge clients’ thinking and drive cost transformation.
  5. Develop negotiation plans and manage negotiation process with client and supplier(s).
  6. Provide commercial input on contract terms and conditions with suppliers.
  7. Agree mobilisation plans and manage activities with client and supplier(s) as required.
  8. Contribute to the development of Proxima’s internal knowledge development in the Professional Services category.

About You:

  1. Operating in a client facing environment in a consultancy.
  2. Strong professional services category knowledge – Legal, Consultancy, Audit, BPO.
  3. Change management experience.
  4. Experience of managing and coaching junior team members.
  5. Demonstrable experience of articulating value propositions to clients.
  6. Proven track record in delivering high quality, strategic Procurement projects.
  7. Flexibility to travel domestically as required.
  8. Excellent planning, negotiation, and written & oral communication skills.
  9. Strong MS Excel, PowerPoint presentation and data analytical skills.
