H55 is composed of highly experienced engineers, entrepreneurs, and managers and is seeking like-minded talented professionals who understand how to couple creativity and innovation with technical and business considerations.Your RoleAs part of our Engineering team, we are looking to hire a Chief Engineer for the EPU system, reporting to the Head of Design Organisation (HDO). The Chief Engineer’s perimeter covers system to parts (up to electronic board or software) and has the following tasks and responsibilities:Responsible for delivering the overall solution for a system or sub-system; on time, cost, and quality.Responsible for the overall architecture, including the management of all product trades and new technology introduction.Responsible for ensuring the design meets all requirements.Responsible for certification, qualification, and testing strategy.Responsible for product change management.First technical point of contact for the program manager, management, and the customer throughout the life of the product.Chair and facilitator of milestone reviews.You are supported by the team leaders in the creation and maintenance of schedules.Approve configured baseline for production (system shipset).Your experienceDemonstrated experience in a highly regulated domain like Aerospace or Automotive, with Electric Propulsion unit (5+ years).University degree in a relevant engineering discipline (System Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Power Electronics, Energy Systems).Thorough knowledge of the involved engineering disciplines.Ideally first leadership experience in technical or team management, or natural leadership capabilities coupled with the desire to grow and put them into practice.Broad knowledge of other engineering disciplines, HW/SW development, electrical and mechanical engineering to assess/coordinate the product development cycle on a high level.Understanding of certification and production methods and standards in aviation is a plus.Strong understanding of the company’s key competitive strengths – technology, pricing, manufacturing capabilities, plans to scale, etc. – and being able to use these qualifications for identifying, engaging, and increasing the company’s customer base.Your profileHands-on execution management.Driven by team spirit and transparent cooperative communication style.Possess entrepreneurial and strategic thinking ability; has a high level of synthesis capacity.Ability to seamlessly work independently as well as in close cooperation with different organization centers in a fast-paced environment.Highly organized.Illustrates strong customer focus/mindset.Problem-solving oriented attitude.At ease and comfortable with fast commercially growing small high-tech companies where product and technology offerings still need to be matured and proven in the market.What we offerAn amazing work location in Sion, Valais in the heart of the Swiss Alps.A highly dynamic and multicultural environment where you can grow and learn by working on ambitious challenges to shape the future of Electric Aviation.We offer a position that contributes to valuable and impactful work in a stimulating international environment.Sounds interesting?
