Are you ready to lead and evolve the Application Security program at one of the world’s leading logistics companies? As the Product Lead for our internal AppSec team, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping a secure, compliant, and reliable application landscape.
Your Role
From our Hamburg office, you’ll collaborate with diverse teams across the globe—including information security, cloud infrastructure, developer tooling, and product development—to elevate our security posture. Ready to make an impact? Read on and discover your next career move!
Your Responsibilities
- Make our Application Security program „cloud-ready“ by evolving existing services and processes to support a hybrid ecosystem of cloud and on-premise architectures, self-developed DevOps-powered applications, and COTS/SaaS solutions.
- Promote a „secure by default“ mindset across Kuehne+Nagel’s IT and business units.
- Partner with product teams throughout their development lifecycle by offering hands-on consulting, tools, best practices, and guidelines—balancing pragmatism with effectiveness.
- Represent Application Security towards management and key stakeholders, ensuring effective communication regarding processes, risks, and controls.
- Advocate secure design principles and implement security best practices across the organization.
- Take ownership of the Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SSDLC) policy and related guidelines, ensuring your team delivers scalable global services and automated enforcement mechanisms.
Your Skills and Experiences
- You have successfully completed a degree in Computer Science or possess a comparable professional qualification with a technical background.
- Proven experience in the security field, with a hands-on approach—not just as a people manager.
- Comfortable navigating large, complex IT landscapes with multiple years of enterprise-level experience.
- Thrives in international and cross-functional team settings.
- Strong methodical, procedural, and empathetic skills with demonstrated team leadership experience.
- Ideally, experience establishing or managing an Application Security program.
