Are you an experienced Head Sommelier who loves all things beverage? Can you recruit, lead and inspire a team? Are you able to write, manage and improve a 3 glass rated wine list? Do you know your way around cocktail costings, COGS and stock control?

One of Australia’s most established restaurant groups, Trader House, is looking for a Head Sommelier & Beverage Manager for the historic Fitzroy pub, Builders Arms Hotel.

About us:

Builders Arms Hotel is a landmark public house and meeting place. Built in 1853, it has long been a Fitzroy establishment. With its public bar, bistro, private dining spaces, on-street dining and courtyard, the venue offers versatility and comfort for locals and tourists alike.

About the role:

We are looking for an experienced beverage leader who’s ready for a new challenge. You will oversee all beverage operations across the venue.

  • An expert level appreciation for beer, wine and cocktails.
  • An advanced working knowledge of COGS, P&L and financial reporting.
