Are you passionate about developing and implementing smart solutions that drive technological innovation but are also environmentally and socially responsible? Would you also like to teach our students how to develop these technologies in a practical way to minimize their ecological footprint and promote social responsibility? Then join our team, because at our university you can not only pass on your knowledge but also actively conduct research and thus make an important contribution to future-oriented innovations and sustainability in technology.
- You will represent the field of “Sustainable Intelligent Systems” in the courses of our electrical engineering degree programs (B. Eng. and M. Eng.) as well as “AI” and “Fundamentals of Control Engineering” in other degree programs of our department in German and English.
- You supervise our students in their project, Bachelor’s, and Master’s theses (preferably in cooperation with your practice partners).
- With your commitment to applied and interdisciplinary research on AI systems for sustainable applications, particularly in one of the following areas, and the acquisition of third-party funding, you will play an active role in shaping the future of your field.
Autonomous Intelligent Systems / Smart Systems / Image Processing / Robotics / IoT - You will be involved in applied and interdisciplinary research, particularly in the subject area, and initiate/maintain collaborations with practice partners in Germany and abroad.
- You actively participate in the further development of our department and our university and contribute to its internationalization.
Your Profile:
- You have a university degree in electrical engineering or a related field – supplemented by a doctorate, ideally in the subject area.
- You have at least 5 years of professional experience, including at least 3 years outside the university sector, or have comparable academic achievements that demonstrate your practical competence.
- You have extensive and application-related experience and knowledge in developing AI systems and ideally knowledge of control engineering.
- You can provide evidence of teaching experience, e.g. through teaching assignments, experience in education, or didactic training courses.
- You are committed, team-oriented and enjoy internationally networked thinking and acting as well as interdisciplinary, diversity-sensitive work in teaching and research.
- Ideally, you can also demonstrate your scientific qualifications through publications at leading international conferences or in journals.
- German language skills of at least level C1 are mandatory.
