Software Architect Embedded Systems (f/m/d)

Summary: We are looking for a Software Architect Embedded Systems (f/m/d) for the Sights development area at the Wetzlar site as soon as possible. Within the Sights development area, various disciplines such as software, optics, electronics, and mechanics are combined to develop high-quality, hand-held optronic vision systems. Our observation devices combine information from multiple sensors operating at visible and infrared wavelengths to provide the user with reliable information even under the most challenging conditions and ensure the success of their mission.
Your Tasks:
- Design, development, and maintenance of a cross-sectional software platform.
- Requirements analysis, specification, and development of the software architecture.
- Strategic further development of the platform and the associated development processes.
- Close cooperation and support of other development teams in the development and use of the software platform.
- Selection and management of external development partners.
- Conception, creation, and evaluation of software tests and their documentation.
Your Profile:
- Completed studies in computer science or comparable courses of study with a focus on software development.
- Several years of professional experience as a software architect, preferably in a comparable environment (optronic systems).
- Experience in working with SAP is advantageous.
- Sound understanding of electronics and software.
- Very good knowledge of programming (at least C / C++).
- Very good knowledge of functional safety (SIL level, V-model XT).
- Knowledge in the field of IT security advantageous.
- Knowledge of agile development methods advantageous.
- Ability to work in a team, initiative, and a high sense of responsibility.
- Very good analytical skills and high quality awareness.
- Very good knowledge of German and English.
