Postdoctoral Researcher in Computational Neuroimaging

Responsibilities:
- Conduct state-of-the-art research into the molecular underpinnings of aggression in mental health conditions as part of the DFG-funded TRR 379.
- Develop novel analytical frameworks for integrating Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) data with genetic and transcriptomic data to stratify mental health conditions.
- Disseminate resulting software for use within the wider scientific community.
- Apply novel analytical techniques to existing large-scale imaging genetics cohorts (clinical and non-clinical).
- Engage in teaching and supervision activities, knowledge dissemination, and publication of results in international peer-reviewed scientific journals.
Qualifications:
- PhD in (Bio)informatics, Computer Science, or Biomedical Engineering.
- Strong programming skills in R, C++, Python, and MATLAB.
- Interest in big data analytics.
- Knowledge in computational neuroimaging techniques and analysis using software packages like FreeSurfer; expertise in conducting genetic analyses (e.g., Genome-Wide Association Studies (GWAS) and computation of polygenic risk scores (PRS) is advantageous).
- Experience in big data analysis and machine learning is desired, though not essential.
- Due to legal regulations, valid proof of measles immunity/vaccination is required.
