Our satellite ground systems are valued by our customers for their reliability and performance. The „Project IT“ team designs these systems and is responsible for the regular maintenance, care and regeneration of the components and continuous further development. We are looking for you to operate and constantly improve our systems. As an IT systems engineer, you are instrumental in our success!
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the implementation of IT projects in the field of satellite ground systems.
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders as a technical manager.
- Create tasks for the IT system specialists and IT operations and ensure implementation.
- Address technical challenges with ambition and a spirit of research.
- Design IT systems to meet customer requirements.
- Ensure compatibility with technical interfaces in the project.
- Maintain direct contact with project management and draw up schedules for IT system implementation.
- Advise on technologies used, drawing on the expertise of IT specialists.
- Support new projects and proposal teams in the design phase and translate project requirements into IT infrastructure requirements.
- Assist the test team in carrying out tests in the implementation phase.
- May take on the responsibility of being a service owner.
- Ensure the quality of documents requested in the project.
Qualifications
- Degree with a focus on IT and several years of professional experience in the project environment or a comparable qualification.
- Broad interest in IT and technology, with expertise in at least one subject area.
- Familiarity with common processes and products for project and IT service management (ITIL, Jira, Confluence, MS Project).
- Ability to motivate employees and instruct them professionally.
- Overview of complex relationships in the project and ability to present them.
- High sense of responsibility.
- Solution-oriented, convincing, and friendly communication skills.
- Knowledge of Jira, MS Project, i-doit, and Office components is desirable.
- Written and spoken German and English skills.
- Willingness to further promote professional development.
