This position reports to:
Sales Manager Field Application Engineer
Your role and responsibilities:
The Field Application Engineer / Sales Engineer markets complex, technical products and convinces customers with technical expertise and strong sales skills. The FAE offers practical and individual solutions for our customers and helps with the implementation of technical products and services. They work in close coordination with account managers and customers.
- Technical sales and link between ABB product solutions and customers
- Technical specialist with segment, application and product orientation
- Active consulting and support in the planning and compilation of ABB products and systems in the special FAE specialist area
- Elaboration of article planning and cooperation with project coordinators and customer service quotations
- Assistance and on-demand training for customers in the specialist area, in cooperation with PM trainers and account managers
- Planning optimization, cross- and upselling activities for added value for the customer and ABB
- Conversion of competitive products and customer baskets using tools and knowledge to prepare offers
- Technical support for product launches and discontinuations in the region
- Market observation for specific solutions in the specialist area and corresponding support for the segments and PM areas for new and further developments
Qualifications for the role:
- Vocational training in electrical engineering, training as a technician or completed studies with an electrical engineering background
- Relevant sales experience in the field of low-voltage products
- Written and spoken German and English
- Strong closing and assertiveness skills
- High willingness to travel
