Business Law
The position:
Successful candidates qualify by their ability and willingness to teach and examine both in German and English Austrian and European Business Law in its whole variety, including Commercial Law, Company and Securities Law as well as principles of Accounting Law, Antitrust and Unfair Competition Law and Intellectual Property Law (IP), and their outstanding expertise in at least one of these subjects, preferably in Accounting Law, Antitrust Law, Unfair Competition Law or Intellectual Property Law (IP), evidenced by high-quality legal publications taking into account national, European and international developments. Particularly desirable is a specialization that enables a substantial contribution to one or more of the faculty\’s main areas of research as well as a relevant habilitation (venia docendi) or an internationally recognized equivalent qualification.

- Outstanding research achievements, excellent publication and funding record, international reputation

- Experience in designing and managing large research projects
- Enthusiasm for excellent teaching and supervision at the bachelor\’s, master\’s, and doctoral level

The University of Vienna expects the successful candidate to acquire, within three years, proficiency in German sufficient for teaching in bachelor’s programmes and for participation in university committees.
