You will be responsible for:
- Accurate preparation and completion of the consolidated GST Group Business Activity Statement (BAS) for the department, including ensuring monthly statements, payments and returns for the expanded tax group are properly approved and lodged on time with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) and that reconciliations are completed and signed off within designated timeframes.
- With reference to GST Group, manage Lost Input Taxed Credit (LITC) recovery mechanism.
- Prepare and submit FBT benefit schedules applicable to department commercial business unit (CBU) for consolidation into the department\’s annual FBT return managed by a shared service provider.
- Prepare and submit periodic and annual Payroll Tax returns applicable to department CBU.
- Prepare and submit annual NTER return applicable to department CBU.
We\’re looking for someone with proven experience and has successfully worked with multiple stakeholders to meet the department\’s taxation obligations.
