About You:
You are a motivating leader with at least two years of experience managing teams in the NDIS and/or Child Safety sector. You thrive in dynamic environments, are relatable yet authoritative, and are skilled at turning strategic goals into operational success.
Your strong understanding of the NDIS, coupled with a solution-focused mindset, enables you to identify opportunities for development and improvement. You are skilled at translating strategic goals into practical operational plans and building strong, collaborative relationships with stakeholders at all levels. You are an adept communicator and an effective decision maker. You bring a commitment to empowering people with disabilities, guided by person-centered principles and contemporary leadership practices.
About the role:
This role fosters a safe and supportive environment, ensures effective service delivery, and maintains compliance; empowering individuals with disabilities to achieve their goals.
This is achieved through the day-to-day management of Support Workers, program coordination, and providing professional care management advice and support to ensure the highest standards of care practices. It also involves implementing new Participant initiatives and identifying growth opportunities. As a role model for collaboration and positive experiences, this position is critical in leading a team of support workers in the care of our clients.
Your primary responsibility will be to:
- Support and develop a team of support worker professionals to deliver quality care.
- Develop care treatment regimens in collaboration with health professionals for clients with medical, mental health, and complex developmental and behavioral issues.
- Conduct regular supervision and training of DCR care staff and prepare appropriate reports and documentation.
What We\’re Looking For:
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Services, Social Work, Special Education, Psychology, or a related field (or comprehensive industry knowledge).
- Comprehensive knowledge of legislation, policy, and practice in areas such as Disability Care, Forensic Disability, and Child Protection.
- A valid Driver\’s License, Proof of Covid-19 Vaccination, First Aid & CPR certification, Blue Card & NDIS Worker Screening Check, and LCS2 Background and History Check.
