MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Completing a relevant apprenticeship program is required (Red Seal Certification).
• Valid Code 08 Driver’s Licence.
EXPERIENCE
• Five to ten years of proven experience as an artisan and five or more years of proven experience leading a team.
DUTIES
- Manufacturing of components from raw materials.
- Setting up and running CNC machines in a production environment.
- Reading manufacturing drawings and obtaining them from the Supervisor or Manager.
- Planning layout and procedure based on measurements.
- Interpreting P&ID symbols from the drawings.
- Executing all jobs according to the provided drawings on time and with excellent quality.
- Planning, scheduling, and monitoring work accurately and to specifications.
- Ensuring that all mechanical equipment is in working order to perform required functions.
- Determining appropriate equipment or methods based on requirements.
- Providing opinions on how to increase the quality of manufactured products.
- Inspecting manufactured components to ensure they meet the highest standard of quality.
- Conducting testing on malfunctioning systems and determining root causes of malfunctions.
- Testing and inspecting mechanical systems after work completion.
- Using precision measuring equipment effectively, including:
• Dial Test Indicator
• Micrometer
• Vernier
• Inside and Outside Calipers
• Feeler Gauges - Assisting with administration responsibilities and performing good housekeeping.
- Adhering to health and safety regulations.
OTHER / BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCE
