ForestrySA manages approximately 10,000 hectares of sustainable commercial pine plantations and 16,000 hectares of other forest reserves, which include community and recreational facilities, on behalf of the South Australian Government.
ForestrySA is now looking to appoint a new Manager, People, Culture and Safety to provide leadership, advice and management across work health and safety, human resources, industrial relations, and training & development, in alignment with State Government guidelines and relevant legislation. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive and as a member of the Management Team, this role involves offering professional advice and support to ensure the effective delivery of people, culture and safety services, maintaining high-performance standards. This position will be key in implementing the organisation\’s people, culture and WHS objectives, as well as managing change processes aligned with the strategic plan and enterprise agreement.
Candidates should have a proven track record in this field, along with strong critical thinking and analytical skills. An appropriate tertiary qualification in Human Resource Management, Change Management, Business, Safety, Organisational Behaviour or a related field is required. The position will be primarily based at ForestrySA’s Head Office in the scenic Kuitpo Forest, with flexible working arrangements considered. The successful candidate will be offered a full-time role for an initial 24-month period.
