Senior Financial Accountant – Junior Team Lead
Overview: Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role involves supporting the financial activities of the company. You will lead a small finance team and provide hands-on delivery of high-quality, accurate, and timely financial results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with the CFO and Financial Controller to prepare monthly, annual, and financial reports for the CEO.
- Manage timely and accurate month-end close processes.
- Oversee cash management, cash flow, inventory, and asset management.
- Review general ledger transactions, reconciliations, and ensure data integrity.
- Lead and support the Australian Finance Team, including:
- Accountant
- Payroll/Accounts Receivable Officer
Minimum Requirements:
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a commercial accounting role.
- Strong experience with large ERP systems.
- Proficiency in payroll and payroll systems.
- Excellent understanding of accounting principles and internal controls.
- Advanced Excel and intermediate/advanced Microsoft Office skills.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is highly preferred.
