IT LEAD STATION BASEL (M/F/D)

Your Mission:
As our new IT Lead you are the IT representative and go-to person at station level for any IT related aspects and escalations. You will be managing the local IT team, assets, performance, and budget. In this role you will have to balance the priorities of the business users while ensuring all IT assets always operate in the most efficient and effective way while ensuring data security and maximum up-time are at the forefront of any decision. You will be part of the regional IT team, representing the business partners of the station, ensuring station IT setup and local IT requirements are fulfilled.
Your Tasks:
- Lead the local IT Team including Field Services
- Manage the local infrastructure including VPNs, LAN and Airport connections and establish recovery plans related to local IT assets
- Manage the MDM solution and handle the configuration, provision and maintenance of mobile devices
- Coordinate the IT Budget process for the station as well as support and promote standardization to leverage on costs optimization and services quality improvement
- Manage IT partnerships such as Airport IT and other local infrastructure and hardware providers, local contracts and align on global sourcing
- Develop and maintain relationships with station management and key external partners including regular communication of activities around IT
- Lead local IT technical projects with a possibility to lead projects at country/regional level
- Ensure security of data and overall systems architecture while maintaining a clear focus and adherence to all cyber security policies
- Comply with Swissport IT policies and standards
- Picket Duty for two weeks per month
Your Profile:
- IT degree in relevant field required (Higher education or university degree)
- 3 to 5 years of experience in an equivalent role with a proven track record in a leadership role in an IT environment
- Core certified technology skills as well as knowledge of systems such as Microsoft, AWS, Cisco or similar
- Fluent language skills in English and French – both written and spoken, German is an advantage
- Ability to travel between Swissport sites in the country, with overnight stays when required
- Experience in or affinity to the aviation industry is appreciated
