As a Senior GL Accountant, you will be crucial in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial operations. You will lead month-end closing processes, financial reporting, and compliance efforts, supporting the strategic goals for the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily general ledger accounting functions with precision and integrity.
- Ensure financial records are accurate and compliant with company policies.
- Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities, including journal entries and reconciliations.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports to guide management decisions.
- Coordinate with external auditors and prepare necessary documentation.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.
- Provide insightful financial analysis to support business strategies.
- Stay informed on industry trends and regulatory changes impacting the oil and gas sector.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field;
- Brevet federal, CPA or ACCA preferred.
- 8 years minimum of progressive accounting experience ideally in the oil and gas industry.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with SAP is mandatory.
