Beckman Coulter is looking for an experienced Scientist in the field of mammalian and microbial cell culture to support product development in our Cell Health Product Line. We need an outstanding candidate to support our mammalian and microbial lab activities in the biological verification and validation of new products for the Life Science market. This position will work closely with R&D, the internal Apps team and the Product Management team.  

• You will support the development for automated bioreactors with automated sample preparation.  

• You will work closely with an R&D team of engineers and scientists to develop products for mammalian and bacterial cell culture including laboratory testing, verification and validation of performance. 

• You will be working together with Application Scientists to prioritize and verify new product features.  

• You will publish App-Notes/ Whitepapers on new product features and new applications workflows. 

The essential requirements of the job include:

• BS/MS + 5 yrs experience, or PhD + 2 yrs experience in cell biology or biotechnology or equivalent degree.

• 2-5 years of proven track record in a lab environment with a focus on bacterial and/or mammalian cell culture. 

• Demonstrated experience performing root-cause analysis on complex systems. 

• Preferred candidate has a solid knowledge of the biotech and pharma market. 

• Preferred candidate has experience with cell line development or bioprocess optimization.
