Our large private client requires a Deputy Chief Engineer who will govern the application of the Engineering Management System (EMS) and the conduct of Design reviews, providing decision support where necessary for the management of technical integrity. The position also closely collaborates with the Product Engineering Manager, providing additional management capacity and business continuity for the broader Engineering Team.
The Deputy Chief Engineer’s responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Ensure sufficient engineering rigour and assurance is applied to the engineering and other technical activities.
- Manage the Engineering Support Team.
- Collaborate with the Product Engineering Manager to plan and conduct appropriate system reviews.
- Conduct and oversee day-to-day management activities associated with the execution of the engineering management system.
- Coach and mentor the Engineering Team members.
Location of work: Canberra ACT
Length of contract: 6 months
Contract Extensions: There may be extensions available at our client\’s discretion.
Security Requirements: Due to the nature of this role, we require a minimum NV2 Security Clearance.
