Senior Mechanical Engineer – Construction Industry – South Melbourne
My client is a market leader in the construction industry and highly regarded for the design, supply and maintenance of all facets involved within building services.
About You:
- A Senior Mechanical Engineer with extensive construction industry experience (contractor side not consultant).
- Chartered and Registered with Engineers Australia.
- Strong experience in designing mechanical systems effectively and efficiently for commercial construction projects – hospitals, labs, clinics, etc.
- Skilled with using Revit, AutoCAD, MS Office and Bluebeam software.
- Capable of leading and developing a young team of Engineers.
- Strong Project Management skills.
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
- Adept at developing relationships with a range of stakeholders.
What you will be doing:
- Coordinating and administering construction engineering activities.
- Ensuring designs align with program requirements, standards, codes, regulations, etc.
- Conducting site evaluation visits.
- Communicating with internal & external stakeholders.
- Managing and developing a small engineering team.
- Driving projects from concept through to delivery.
- Ensuring that safe & professional engineering practices are always maintained and adhered to.
- Other tasks/duties as determined by business needs.
