Your role and your tasks: As our Backend Developer (m/f/x), you will be a key contributor to bring our market-leading content platform to the next level for world-class retailers like MediaMarkt, Otto, and Fnac – and brands like Microsoft, Logitech, and Bosch. You will drive the change towards a cloud-based IT landscape, developing cloud-native software in a microservices-oriented architecture on AWS. You will be planning and implementing AWS Lambda functions, containerized applications (ECS, K8s), asynchronous communication (SNS/SQS), REST APIs, and setting up monitoring and alerting of our critical infrastructure. You will closely collaborate with the frontend and backend team to create a unified and well-documented ecosystem. You will design and implement new features and products that our customers love. You work directly with your team & our CTO to improve and develop core functionality that empowers more than 100 million requests a day! You foster team communication and ensure code quality by implementing automated integration and end-to-end tests as well as fostering high-quality documentation of our system components. Requirements Requirements: You have at least 3-5 years experience developing backend services for web and 3-5 years\‘ experience in JavaScript / TypeScript and Node.js, as well as a strong expertise in SQL and No-SQL databases . Knowledge of Java is a plus. You have experience with Cloud system components (preferably AWS) and are skilled in designing architectures for new features and system refactorings. You are also able to write IaC , best in AWS CDK. For this, you also have good documentation and modeling skills (like C4 modeling). Hands-on experience with CI/CD and Docker . You are mastering both coding, architectural and Cloud Infrastructure skills. This enables you to not only implement tickets but also plan and architecture features and refactorings from the start. You are passionate in your work and willing to constantly develop and adopt new skills and technologies. And you are a great communicator. Fluency in English is a must, German would be a plus.
