Your role and your tasks: As our Senior DevOps Engineer/Platform, you will play a key role in maintaining and optimizing our existing infrastructure and processes: Infrastructure Improvement : Review, maintain, and enhance the infrastructure, ensuring it remains reliable, scalable, and efficient. Support the IT teams in using AWS (with some services on Hetzner Bare-Metal). Automation & IaC : Manage and optimize existing IaC configurations (e.g., AWS CDK ). Automate and simplify existing manual processes, workflows, and deployments to further enhance operational efficiency. CI/CD Pipeline Optimization : Optimize and troubleshoot existing CI/CD pipelines across multiple projects and improve the build, testing, and deployment processes for faster and more reliable delivery. Configuration Management : Manage the infrastructure using configuration management tools like Ansible , ensuring scalability, high availability, and quick disaster recovery. Security & Compliance : Review and enhance security practices within the development and deployment processes, and address performance issues and security vulnerabilities. Monitoring & Performance : Maintain and optimize monitoring and alerting solutions to ensure optimal performance, availability, and security of applications and infrastructure. Tool Optimization : Evaluate existing DevOps tools & technologies and suggest improvements that align with company goals and objectives. Documentation: Document and communicate standards, guidelines, and best practices related to source control, code management, and deployment processes. Requirements Now let\’s talk about you: 5+ years proven experience working as a DevOps Engineer with a strong background in Linux System Engineering & Hosting , preferably in an agile software development environment. Good Experience with AWS , and on-premise infrastructure. Proficient in containerization technologies like Docker / Podman and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes . Proficient in managing and deploying applications using Helm , including creating and maintaining Helm charts, customizing templates, and managing Helm repositories. Good knowledge of scripting languages like Python and Bash for automating routine tasks. Solid understanding of configuration management tools, version control systems, and continuous integration tools like git and Bitbucket . Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Uptrends . Experience with DataDog is a plus. Good knowledge around broader automation topics, web applications and imaging / application packaging. Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
