Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Data Analyst who is passionate about metrics and telling the stories behind the data. As a Data Analyst at Alohi, you will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting large datasets to provide actionable insights and support data-driven decision-making. You will craft effective intelligent benchmarks, understand performance, care about data quality, enable automation and create visualizations and stories that help drive our business.

Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with stakeholders to define and prioritize key business questions and objectives
2. Design and implement data collection systems and processes to ensure accuracy and completeness of data
3. Work with SQL and other data tools to extract, clean, transform and preprocess data from various sources
4. Analyze complex datasets using statistical techniques and data visualization tools to identify patterns, trends, and correlations in the data to derive meaningful insights
5. Integrate and utilize AI tools like OpenAI API to develop and implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) for data-driven insights
6. Assist in designing experiments (A/B tests) and analyze the results to inform product development and marketing strategies
7. Create reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate findings effectively to stakeholders
8. Monitor and evaluate the performance of data-driven initiatives and provide recommendations for improvements
9. Support ad-hoc data analysis requests from different departments to inform strategic decisions

Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or Computer Science
2. Minimum 4 years experience as a Data Analyst or similar role
3. Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and interpret large datasets
4. Proficient in SQL and experience working with relational databases
5. Knowledge of statistical analysis techniques and tools
6. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python
7. Experience with data visualization tools such as Metabase, Tableau and Power BI
8. Experience using OpenAI API or similar AI tools, specifically with implementing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
9. Knowledge of cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
10. Experience with ETL processes and data integration

1. Compelling story-telling skills, and an eye for powerful visualizations – you’ll need to translate your findings for all levels of stakeholder (business and technical)
2. Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
3. Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality work within deadlines
4. Excellent communication and presentation skills
