Omoqo GmbH is a startup focused on innovating the maritime industry. Together with HPC Hamburg Port Consulting, its parent company, omoqo, strives to create valuable and sustainable solutions for port terminals. Omoqo is a small but diverse company. 20+ employees, 10+ nationalities, and 12+ languages.

For clients in more than 100 countries, the HHLA consulting company HPC Hamburg Port Consulting has already proven its competence in the planning and further development of ports and rail terminals worldwide.

One mission binds them together, helping their customers unlock growth opportunities and improve their productivity.

What you can expect

• You will support us with market research by maintaining and developing our market database
• You will conduct research on national and international cargo terminals and thus, expand our market knowledge
• You will create and develop meaningful reports and KPIs and successively automate these into a management dashboard
• You will receive a structured introduction
• Qualified support from our employees is a matter of course until you are able to complete your tasks independently.

What you bring to the table

• You are enrolled at a university in the field of economics, business informatics, computer science or similar
• You are interested in topics such as data research, data preparation and statistics
• As a problem solver, you have good analytical skills, are self-taught and work conscientiously to the end
• You have strong logical and mathematical thinking skills
• You have a good command of written and spoken German and English
• You are confident in using Google Workspace or MS Office
• You have knowledge with web scraping to gather data for our database
• You already have some programming experience with App Script or VBA
• You are motivated and enjoy familiarizing yourself with new topics
• You have basic knowledge of Salesforce
• You have the capacity for at least 15-20 hours during the semester, outside of the semester more if you like
• Enthusiasm, openness to unconventional approaches and enjoy working in a team round off your profile
