A Snapshot of Your Day: As the Product Manager – PCS & System Integration (f/m/d) for Siemens Energy’s Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), you will experience that every day is not the same in your multicultural team. You will be responsible with your colleagues for the product strategy and the development of best-in-class power conversion systems and integrated solutions for our global BESS portfolio in support of our Siemens Energy mission to decarbonize and #energize society.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Build, communicate, and drive our short and long-term product strategy for power conversion systems (PCS) and integrated solutions of our BESS portfolio, developing business cases to substantiate and prioritize our R&D investment.
• Identify and translate customer and market needs into technical requirements for the engineering team for the implementation of our PCS strategy as part of our BESS, and how our solution integrates into the overall Siemens Energy portfolio.
• Work with an international team of engineers to bring defined market requirements to life in our product offerings, ensuring compliance with our Product Development (PLM) process.
• Be aware and communicate market/technology trends and needs, including competitors’ analysis, and build our unique selling proposition.
• Lead make vs buy decision-making process, and support procurement and engineering with key supplier identification and due diligence in both scenarios.
• Conduct sales enablement activities and business development activities, including participation in industry events representing Siemens Energy.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering or similar technical discipline.
• Several years of professional experience in energy storage and power conversion systems.
• A deep understanding of controls and digital for battery energy storage technologies as well as experience in developing control systems for battery energy storage systems and related products.
• Comprehensive understanding of BESS market dynamics, customer needs, and products currently offered in the industry.
• Ability to solve difficult technical issues and communicate results clearly.
• Independent work, combined with medium travel activity.
• Comfortable communicating and working in an international team environment.
• Fluency in English (mandatory).
