Responsibilities
- You combine your previous knowledge in the field of plastics engineering or materials science with machine learning (in Python).
- Implementation work and continuous testing for the further development of AI optimization.
- Investigation and characterization of the plasticizing behavior during cyclic melting of different raw materials, taking into account various parameters.
- Forming physical correlations from technical literature as well as from learned correlations from production reality to derive optimization strategies.
What you bring
- Sound expertise in the field of plastics technology / materials science with a focus on polymers / injection molding.
- Good knowledge of Python and typical ML packages such as Tensorflow or PyTorch.
- Previous knowledge of SQL and working with databases e.g. PostgreSQL is an advantage.
- Sound knowledge of statistics and machine learning is desirable.
- Very good knowledge of German and English.
- Proactive work style and enjoy teamwork.
- Enthusiasm for innovations.
