What you will do
You will be responsible for the security monitoring of our AWS and Kubernetes landscape and the workloads therein. For this, you use the tools AWS provides and extend them or adapt new tools and procedures. You automate detection and response, as well as monitoring and reporting. In case of a security incident, you employ containment with the other stakeholders, conduct the impact analysis, gather indicators of compromise, and prepare the documentation. You employ threat intelligence methods as a priority to better our posture and harden our setup, be it from a central monitoring perspective or in conjunction with teams to address specific requirements.
What will help you to fulfill your role
- You have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- You have infrastructure as code experience in cloud environments, preferably AWS, and you know Kubernetes and the cloud native landscape.
- You have programming skills, e.g. in Go or TypeScript.
- You have strong knowledge of security principles, SIEM systems & analysis, and threats and applying them to cloud environments.
- You have experience with scenario-based security frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK.
- You have handled security incidents and the aftermath of those incidents.
- You are familiar with industry security standards such as OWASP Top 10.
- You have good communication and interpersonal skills; English is a must, German is a plus.
