As a Backend Software Engineer working on backend services in the Fulfillment Planning domain within Fulfillment Core, you will develop key products that are essential to our fulfillment processes. As part of team Chronos, you will collaborate with other engineering teams, applied scientists, and product managers to provide centralized capabilities around Fulfillment Planning and Execution such as multiple objective planning, least cost fulfilment, delivery promises, etc. You will be able to own and shape interesting new projects and influence the future of Fulfillment Core Platform at Zalando.

6. Learn data analysis and operations research, and track down anomalies to ensure every customer order counts.
7. Write Kotlin code that is recognized for its elegance, readability, and maintainability.
8. You are knowledgeable in microservice architecture, REST services, event-based systems, and API design, and you enjoy building scalable solutions collaboratively.
9. You take pride in owning the entire development cycle, from analysis and design to implementation, testing, shipping, and maintenance.
10. You ensure excellent code quality through practices like code reviews and pair programming.
11. You are passionate about operational excellence, with a strong focus on monitoring and logging.
12. You foster a culture of continuous improvement for yourself and your team.
13. You are proficient with JVM-based languages such as Java or Kotlin. Familiarity with the Spring Boot framework is a plus and welcomed.
14. You communicate clearly and effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
