Network & System Administrator (m/f/d)

Your mission

• Planning and designing the network: You plan, design and maintain our intercontinental networks at six locations worldwide.
• Optimizing the infrastructure: You optimize our data center network infrastructure in terms of reliability, low latency and high throughput.
• Ensuring network security: You secure our network with OpenBSD firewalls and the connection to customers via dedicated lines and VPN.
• IT infrastructure support: You look after the IT infrastructure at our locations in Frankfurt and Aschaffenburg.
• Automation of network configuration: You develop automated network configuration tools using 100% open source software such as Ansible and Python.
• Supporting the team: You are part of the rotating on-call system (about every fifth week) and help with the maintenance of our ~600 Linux servers (Debian 12, CentOS 8).
• Further development of your skills: Depending on your interest, you can learn technologies like Kubernetes and Puppet to expand your skills.

Your profile

• Professional experience: You already have several years of experience in the operation of data center networks (L2/L3 switching/routing, leased lines, VPN), on-premise and data center environments.
• Programming experience: You are proficient in at least one scripting language (Python, Bash).
• Specialist knowledge: You have experience with on-premise and data center environments. You also have knowledge of Linux.
• Willingness to travel: You are willing to visit our location in Aschaffenburg once a quarter and our data center in Frankfurt regularly (2-3 times a week).
• Language skills: You have very good language skills in German and English.
