Software Engineer (m/f/d) SCSW Product Engineering
In the context of changing architectures and requirements, we need your support to realize our vision of delivering high quality software in collaboration with a number of partners in a complex system and process landscape!
Your Tasks
- Creation of technical concepts and requirements for Satellite Control Software and Instrument Control Software
- Software requirements engineering at Technical Specification (TS) and Requirements Baseline (RB) level
- Support in negotiating technical solutions with customers, partners, and suppliers
- Preparation and conducting technical reviews
- Support development and V&V teams
- Support system integration testing and RB validation
- Creation of technical documentation such as, but not limited to, the Requirements Specifications, Interface Requirements Definitions, Interface Control Documents, Software User Manual
- Supporting the definition, development and maintenance of processes, tools, and technologies within the department
Your Qualifications
- Degree in computer science, aerospace engineering, electrical engineering or comparable qualification
- Expertise and experience in software engineering, in particular state-of-the-art requirements engineering and software design; IREB certification is a plus
- Knowledge of real-time embedded platforms (RTOS, embedded Linux, …), as well as communication interfaces; experience with projects in the context of avionics systems is a plus
- Experience with testing in a complex hardware environment
- Strong team player, analytical thinking and organisational skills
- Quality awareness and application of standards such as ECSS-E-ST-40C and ECSS-Q-ST-80C or comparable (e.g. DO-178B)
- Enthusiasm and self-motivation
- Fluency in spoken and written English
