Senior IT Infrastructure Expert Network (m/w/d)

Responsibilities:
- Planning, implementation and maintenance of network and firewall solutions
- Development of future network and firewall architectures
- Implementation of business requirements in solution concepts
- Migration of the existing MPLS network into a future-proof, global WAN solution (worldwide)
- Monitoring network performance and security as well as proactive troubleshooting
- Carrying out network tests and analyses to identify bottlenecks and security gaps
- Planning and execution of projects, including time management, resource allocation and budget control
- Coordination and management of relevant suppliers and service providers
- Working closely with other international IT teams to plan and execute integrations and upgrades
- Design and implementation of security policies and procedures
- Documenting network configurations, security policies and procedures
- Mentoring for other team members on network and firewall related topics
Requirements:
- Completed studies in computer science, information technology or comparable qualification
- At least 10 years of professional experience in network and firewall administration
- Sound knowledge in the configuration and administration of firewalls and switches (preferably Sophos, Fortinet, DELL)
- Experience in the area of software-defined networks in the data center and WAN environment
- Experience with network protocols (e.g. TCP/IP, VLANs, VxLANs, VPNs, WAN) and technologies (Spine-Leaf, Core-Edge)
- Certifications of technologies from the above-mentioned manufacturers are an advantage
- Proven ability to take overall responsibility for the operation and architectural development of network and firewall solutions
- Experience in the area of virtualization solutions (preferably VMWare) is desirable
- Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Business fluent in German and English
