Aim of the position :

We are looking for a dynamic Business Relations Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be efficient in co-development and implementation of sales strategies, managing sales and profit responsibility for a defined client cluster, new business, and development of existing customers. This role includes handling responsibilities for an annual sales target (revenue and profitability), negotiations with customers, and development of own industry network and customer relationships.

Responsibilities :

  • Decision maker (in cooperation with leadership)
  • Evaluation of customer needs.
  • Definition of customer segments.
  • Identification of target customers.
  • Sales pitches – planning, preparing and follow-up of customer meetings.
  • Ensuring the timely and cost-optimized delivery of project results (across the whole suite of services covering media, market research, and consulting solutions) to customers in close coordination with relevant departments.
  • Establishing very good product knowledge.
  • Cooperation with different departments (media, research, and consultancy) and peers in different markets.
  • Creation of proposals in cooperation with the respective experts (or assistance, controlling of the proposal preparation of the employees)
  • Accompanying project managers as the main contact person for the customer (no project work)
  • Representative at trade fairs and business events.

Requirements :

  • At least 2-3 years of experience in sales, preferably in project and consulting environments.
  • Strong interest in the areas of sports, e-sports, gaming, and entertainment.
  • Good knowledge of the international (esp. European) sports ecosystem and relevant stakeholders (esp. rightsholders, brands/sponsors, media partners).
  • Initial experience in the sports or gaming industry and/or a high level of product (technical) knowledge.
  • Successfully completed studies (sports management, media, business, or similar).
  • English and German language fluency (verbal and written).
  • Strong presentation and communication skills as well as initial experience in negotiations.
  • High customer orientation and strong service mentality.
  • Organizational skills, sales-oriented and analytical thinking as well as high social competence.
