Liebherr BU-AxM (Business Unit-Axial Piston Machines) is part of an internationally successful family business. The BU-AxM develops and manufactures high-performance components in the fields of mechanical and hydraulic drive technology at its two sites in Ettlingen near Karlsruhe and Bulle (Canton of Fribourg). The hydraulic components have a wide range of electro-hydraulic-mechanical pump and motor controllers to represent the various functionalities of the machines. They are developed using the latest simulation methods and have a decisive influence on the operating behavior of the Liebherr Group’s mobile and crawler excavators, mining machines, wheel loaders and other mobile machines. We are looking to strengthen our development team at the Bulle or Ettlingen site.
Your Responsibilities
- You are responsible for the simulation of the static and dynamic behavior of rotating groups and control systems of axial piston machines using 1D simulation (Amesim software, among others).
- You conduct 3D finite element method (FEM) simulations to analyze the strength, deformation and surface pressures of load-bearing components.
- You validate your simulation models using test results.
- You collaborate closely with design and hydraulic testing teams.
Your Profile
You have successfully completed an engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master of Science, Dipl.-Ing., PhD).
You possess extensive expertise in hydraulic or mechanical drives and components.
You have several years of experience in the simulation of drive components, preferably in hydrostatic drives or piston machines.
You possess a strong affinity for development, design, and testing.
You have highly developed analytical skills.
You are fluent in both German and English.
Our Offer
Are you excited about taking on a responsible role in a dynamic and independent family-owned company? We offer you the freedom to bring your ideas to life, a secure workplace, and progressive, family-friendly employment conditions such as flexible working hours, remote work options, an on-site cafeteria, opportunities for further training, and numerous benefits. The workplace is located in Bulle, in the canton of Fribourg, or in Ettlingen near Karlsruhe. Let’s plan your personal and professional development together.
