Job Summary
We are seeking an accomplished and visionary Executive Director to lead Cash Sales Origination across the DACH region. This is a high-impact role focused on acquiring new clients, expanding market presence, and delivering innovative cash and liquidity management solutions. As a senior leader, you will also guide and coach a team of high-performing sales professionals, aligning closely with the Group’s strategy and values.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Ownership: Lead strategic relationships with corporate and institutional clients, managing a portfolio across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
- Origination & Revenue Growth: Drive new-to-bank revenues, product penetration, and deliver against aggressive sales and implementation targets.
- Sales Leadership: Inspire, coach, and manage the German TB sales team; embed Standard Chartered Bank AG’s strategy and sales discipline.
- Ideation & Execution: Identify and develop tailored cash, liquidity, and transactional FX solutions; own the client pitch-to-execution lifecycle.
- Governance & Risk: Ensure full compliance with internal risk policies and local regulatory standards; actively manage governance responsibilities.
- Client Experience: Work cross-functionally with CIB, COBAM, and Operations to resolve post-sale service issues and ensure superior client experience
- Team Development: Champion talent development, D&I initiatives, and succession planning within the team.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to stay ahead of market developments and regulatory change.
Skills and Experience
- Proven success in senior Cash Management, Transaction Banking or Corporate Banking roles, with direct origination and revenue responsibility.
- Deep understanding of the DACH market, local regulations, and German-speaking client landscape (fluency in German is highly preferred).
- Demonstrated leadership and coaching capability with a track record of building and developing high-performing sales teams.
- Strong strategic thinking, solution-oriented mindset, and exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
- Experience in managing governance, compliance, and risk in line with global and local standards.
- Adept in cross-functional collaboration, with a client-centric and commercially driven approach.
