As an important member of the dynamic and globally networked Biopolis Dresden research campus, we actively collaborate with various life science companies and major academic research institutions.
We are currently looking for a competent full-time, on-site Network Administrator (m/f/d) to join our service team in Dresden. In this role, you will be part of our dedicated service team.
Your tasks
- Develop, implement and support network solutions, primarily with HP / Aruba technology
- Support and implementation of monitoring and security solutions such as firewalls and intrusion detection
- Collaborate with the team on various network-related tasks to ensure optimal performance and reliability
- Managing and maintaining network hardware, software and infrastructure components
- Troubleshooting network problems and implementing effective solutions in a timely manner
- Ensuring network security and compliance with established policies and procedures
- Monitoring network performance and implementing improvements as required
- Making suggestions for improvements to processes and procedures
- Working closely with scientists (m/f/d) to develop systems and structures to meet their research needs
Requirements
- A university degree or equivalent in an IT-related or scientific field – or a good explanation of why your chosen career path gives you equivalent skills.
- Proven experience with HP/Aruba technology
- Basic knowledge of Linux system administration as this position involves working closely with the System Administrators (m/f/d)
- At least 3 years of experience in network and/or IT security
- Ability to work on site
- Must be fluent in English and German and have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a team
