An innovative Chief Scientist / Technical Director is urgently sought by this leading developer of state-of-the-art imaging (SWIR / LWIR), image intensifier tubes, cores and CMOS image sensors. Working from their R+D Centre based near Frankfurt am Main, the Chief Scientist / Technical Director will be responsible for technically overseeing the day-to-day development of these market leading products coupled with leading the research into the next generation of this leading-edge imaging technology. The Chief Scientist / Technical Director will be working across the complete technical spectrum of design and development working closely with the electronics, mechanical, manufacturing and software teams based in several worldwide locations.

Having completed your PhD (or equiv.), you will be currently working as a Senior Research / Research and Development Engineer looking into emerging and innovative next generation electronic product / semiconductor / advanced imaging technology. You will be used to working in ‘clean room’ electronic product development environments and have a track record of complete product development responsibility. An in-depth knowledge of infrared sensors, image intensifiers and / or camera imaging (SWIR / LWIR) would be a benefit as would a background in managing complete electronic product development projects.
