The Global Workplace product is responsible for one of the most modern workplaces in the insurance world. International teams ensure the operation and continuous development of various workplace products (Windows, Mac, Mobile, Virtual) and infrastructure (Microsoft 365, EntraID, SCCM, Intune).
Join us for exciting tasks and a collaborative, motivated team experience. We are excited to welcome a passionate and dependable IT Workplace Engineer / IT Workplace Administrator to strengthen our Modern Device Integration Europe team based in Winterthur, Switzerland. We are transitioning our Digital Workplace to the cloud, specifically SCCM on Intune. As this transition will be a multi-year project in Switzerland, we will need an experienced Microsoft Endpoint specialist for around 2-3 years that has a profound knowledge in Configuration Manager and Intune. You should cover various client engineering activities such as L3 support, GPO Mgmt, hardening, etc.
The “Modern Device Integration Europe” team drives the adaptation of global services and their local integration. Our focus is on the required functionality and stable operation of the Digital Workplace. Our teams work in a self-organized way with an agile mindset. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, alert, and curious! With your experience and courage, we look forward to your fresh ideas and innovative contributions to our product.
Tasks
- End-to-end application management (integrate-test-qualify-deploy) in Intune
- Operation and further development of Windows 11 releases and new features (Evergreen)
- Implementation of security requirements (group policy management, compliance monitoring, hardening)
- Integration of new hardware into the ecosystem (image, BIOS, drivers)
- Integration of Endpoint Protection solutions on the client
- Integration and maintenance of Internet browsers (Edge Chromium, Google Chrome)
- Integration, maintenance and testing of Microsoft 365 Apps for Enterprise
- System and performance monitoring, analysis and prevention measures
- You continue to operate and develop the modern workplace
- You are in charge of 3rd level support/analyses in the Workplace area (bug analysis/fixes)
Requirements
- You have sound knowledge of Intune/Configuration Manager, Windows 11, EntraID, Modern Workplace & M365
- You have in-depth knowledge of client integration (e.g. GPO, Internet Browser, Bitlocker)
- You have sound knowledge of Configuration Manager/SCCM (e.g. packages, applications, task sequences, BIOS, drivers)
- Knowledge of Endpoint Security and Protection is desirable (e.g. MS Endpoint DLP)
- Scripting skills (e.g. PowerShell) are desirable
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365 (e.g. M365 Apps, OneDrive for Business, Azure Information Protection) is desirable
- McAfee Cloud Proxy
- F5 PerApp VPN
- Service- and team-oriented thinking, initiative, independence and winning communication (in German and English) distinguish you
- Professional experience
- Several years of experience in Client Engineering and Configuration Manager/Intune in the enterprise environment (more than 8,000 clients)
- Successfully completed studies in (business) informatics or completed training as an IT specialist
- Independent, structured and analytical approach
- Open, communicative and responsible personality

- The activities are performed in a mix of onsite/home office. A presence of 2 days per week onsite in Zurich is required.
