Device Software Developer (Food Testing)
Your mission
BioAnalyt, situated in Teltow/Berlin, Germany, specializes in creating and distributing portable labs for nutrient measurement. Our goal is to enhance nutrition transparency by enabling low-cost, lab-free nutrient assessment in food, animals, and humans. Our products assist our clients in saving both time and money. We collaborate with global food producers, UN agencies, and laboratory service providers around the world. We’re on the lookout for a talented Software Developer to join our team. The role involves contributing to the development of our web and mobile platforms, which gather, analyze, and display data from our handheld measurement devices. This enables effective decision-making and facilitates secure data exchange among various stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Project management for software development from initial concept to product launch, involving both internal and external partners and considering feedback from all stakeholders.
- Full-stack development, deployment, and maintenance of web and mobile platforms, encompassing the entire software development life cycle (SDLC) and further, in collaboration with external stakeholders like software specialists, UX designers, and IT infrastructure firms.
- Development and enhancement of new and existing features for web and mobile platforms, incorporating internal insights and working alongside external partners.
- Compilation and analysis of user feedback to inform and recommend improvements for software products.
- Management of code documentation and adherence to version control protocols.
- Setting up, expanding and optimizing system architecture.
- Creating the test environment and carrying out the necessary software tests.
- Knowledge of front-end development.
Your profile
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of 3 years‘ experience in developing web and mobile applications.
- Demonstrated expertise in leading software development projects.
- Proficient in frameworks and systems like AngularJS, ExpressJS, NodeJS.
- Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL database management systems.
- Experience with DevOps tools, including Kubernetes, Docker, and CircleCI.
- Mathematical understanding (algorithm development).
