About the Role
As an IT Operations Engineer, you will oversee daily IT operations, ensure the reliability of infrastructure systems, and lead initiatives in security and cloud technologies. Your Key Responsibilities
- Oversee IT Operations: Manage daily IT system operations, focusing on system reliability, user impact, and effective problem-solving.
- Provide Expert Support: Resolve advanced technical issues and maintain high system availability.
- Build and Maintain Infrastructure: Develop robust private and public cloud systems and ensure efficient network performance.
- Manage IT Assets: Keep accurate records of IT resources and optimise their use.
- Ensure Security: Protect systems against unauthorised access and proactively address vulnerabilities.
- Document Processes: Follow industry best practices and maintain detailed system documentation.
- Support and Train Users: Deliver user training and promote adoption of IT systems.
- Stay Innovative: Keep up-to-date with the latest IT trends and leverage them to improve processes.
What They Are Looking For:
- A Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of professional experience in IT systems management or administration, ideally in a multinational environment.
- Expertise in cloud administration, virtualisation technologies, and IT infrastructure operations.
- Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Mobile Device Management and Service Desk ticketing platforms.
- Fluent German and good English communication skills.
- ITIL certification is a plus.
