Systems Engineer (all genders)

This is something we are hearing more and more. Of course not from our constantly growing customer base of medium-sized companies, corporations and associations. They often already know us from many successful projects. We work on them in our Swabian home town of Reutlingen as well as in locations in Berlin and Tunis, the Silicon Valley of North Africa.

Ok, and what is it you do?

In a nutshell: we help companies at all levels through the jungle of digitalisation and regulatory requirements. We do this by developing software solutions that meet all security and quality requirements. But we also offer our customers comprehensive support in the areas of governance, risk management and compliance. And if you can think of anything else you need, we are happy to oblige!

And will I be doing it all on my own?

Of course not – you will be working with a crossover team of highly qualified software developers, business economists, system engineers, designers and concept developers. And if there is anything else you need, just let us know and we’ll take care of it.

To expand our team, we are looking for a Senior Systems Engineer (all genders) for our office in Reutlingen or Berlin, to start as soon as possible. Working from your home office is also an option.

You design, develop, and operate stable and secure platforms. The internal and external processing of support cases in a wide variety of fields, as well as the active support of the configuration, monitoring, and further development of the systems, round off your range of responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• You are responsible for the independent planning, documentation, and implementation of IT projects.
• You are responsible for the monitoring and administration of the heterogeneous IT infrastructure of our customers and for guaranteeing smooth, ongoing operations.
• You are the key contact person for incident management.
• You coordinate with our software development team and ensure the provision of developmental and productive environments.
• You work together with our business partners on a technical level for the integration of software and hardware systems.

Minimum Requirements

• Completed apprenticeship vocational, e.g. as an IT specialist for system integration or career changer with relevant professional experience/qualification.
• Sound knowledge of Microsoft technologies, especially Active Directory, Exchange, Microsoft 365 and SQL.
• Linux knowledge desirable (Apache and MySQL).
• Experience in the field of cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services with a focus on web technologies.
• Confident in working with the protocols HTTP, SMTP, DNS, DHCP.
• Layer 2 and 3 Networking (Aruba/HP).
• Experienced handling of firewalls (Sophos UTM, XG/S).
• Experience with backup strategies and Veeam.
• Very good virtualization skills (VMware ESXi, Microsoft Hyper-V).
• Ideally basic knowledge of baramundi.
• Fluent in both written and spoken English and German.
• Very well-versed in MS Office (MS Word and MS Excel).
• Confident demeanour and pronounced communication skills.
• Driving license class B required.
